Well ladies, in 4 weeks my Dad, step mom, and I are driving a Uhaul 14 hrs to Jacksonville, NC to move my husband out of the barraks and into his new apt! Because he will be living there a year without me I have been trying to remember things that my hubs will need, BASIC things that i will forget - HELP ME NOT FORGET, what are some things that you need that I will probably forget
so far....
A medicine kit
toilet paper
laundry detergant
bath towels
sheets
hand soap
So if ya'll could help me out it would be so awesome!
-dust pan -sponge -dish soap -bar soap -dish drainer (assuming there isnt a dishwasher...) -paper/plastic goods (plates, "silverware", cups) to get him and/or you by until he (or you) gets to the dishes/glasses box(es), -hand towels -wash cloths
hope this was helpful! I've moved A LOT! lol and a little tip: set up the bed FIRST! Every thing else can wait, at least at the end of the day, no matter what else is done you (or him... or BOTH!) can go to sleep w/out having to worry about doing ONE MORE THING! Good luck, and SAFE TRIP! :)
I agree with some of the above. Wait until you get there and shop the commisary and Exchange. It saves a lot of money!!! Any cleaning supplies is good, lots of his favorite foods/snacks...pictures of you guys! ;) --thanks for stopping by my blog btw..I'm a new follower of yours as well!!! xoxo
We have been living in our new house for a month waiting on our stuff so....matches, can opener, a small pot and pan spatula and ladle are a few of the things I forgot I needed every day and had to go buy, alomg w the above mentioned! Good Luck and be safe!
I am 25, in nursing school and have my BS in Kinesiology where i met my honey, my better half is 27, an Infantry Marine, has his BS in Kinesiology and Pre-Law, he is easily the most amazing person I know. Yes, I am one of those people who is consumed by LOVE! Right now we are 14 hours away from each other, and yes distance is a B*TCH! But I can honestly say I think we do an amazing job at it, of course there will be bumps when you can't see and hold the thing you love most in the world, we battle mis-communication, juggling schedules, and separation anxiety but I can honestly say everyday, every second he is worth it! I have a 4lb yorkie (Jessi) and a fat tabby cat (Oscar)
Wait till you get to J-ville and shop in exchange and commissary, save yourself some money.
